Almost 7 Months - First Camping Trip

We went camping (okay, we went for one day because it was so hot and the mosquitos were horrible)...but it was fun and Trey lasted all day! He unfortunately got chiggers (Rich gets them all the time) and I get mosquito bites very easily so this poor little boy is going to get eaten up!

I just watched the first video of Trey since he was born. Rich was giving him a bath and it was so cute. You could tell he was so tired and just wanted to sleep but they were bathing him and keep waking him up. I fell in love all over again.

Trey is jumping in his "Johnny Jumper" right now, which is his new favorite toy. He jumps and jumps for hours!!

He is getting cuter every day and starting to sit up on his own. Anytime I have food in my hand (no matter what it is, he wants it!) He will try to muscle his way to get his mouth on it and then gnaw and suck on it. It's hilarious! He can put his pacifier back in him mouth by himself and is interested in different toys. Today I had a new toy that shows you what the animal says and he started shaking and his eyes got really big because he wanted to play with it. Really cute. :)

6 1/2 Months

Trey is getting to have such a great personality. He sat in a high chair for the first time when we went out to eat today!! He loved it and sat there not making a peep. Just smiled at everyone. He is starting to get a schedule down and goes to bed pretty easy now. I FEEL BLESSED!!! If God willing I have another child, I will have to remember the 6 1/2 month mark is when everything gets easier. He is becoming a little person.

My favorite part about Trey is when he gets the giggles which makes me laugh and then we just start cracking up together, for no reason...but we just keeping laughing like crazy. He is very funny.

We've gone swimming all week and he loves it. Just keep him active and engaged in learning and he is one happy baby! He really is observant about what is going on around him. He studies everything, especially books. When I show him a book he looks at every corner of it and is very engaged.

Love this boy...I want to share him with my family every day. I am so thankful that I am a mom...can't believe I had to wait all of this time, but it is worth it and I wish I could have 100 kids. Funny, but true.

Johnny Jumper

He always goes to the store with me and we talk and laugh...

Laughs when I say, "You're Crazy!" :)

I love when he laughs...it's hilarious.

Swim Lessons

We started swim lessons when Trey was 5 1/2 months...you are supposed to be 6 months...but I thought he could handle it. LOL! He was a year younger than everyone else. He was the only boy in class and all of the little girls and moms loved him and it was cute.

6-7 months

Trey has been rolling over (he loves to sleep on his stomach). He is not crawling yet, but he gets on all fours and rocks back and forth. He has learned to make a lot of noises with his tongue and makes the "Zirbert" sound. He talks and yells really loud while making noises. He has also learned to "cough"...he loves to fake cough and does it all day long then smiles. He is finished with swimming lessons and loved it.

My family came and it was so nice to have my baby loved on like he was their own. I could just chill out and know that he was being taken care of. I like that our family has no drama and no one is high maintenance. Well, Trey is high maintenance, but he is very good when he is around others and being active and entertained.

When my family was here we went ziplining, jet skiing, boating, tubing, golfing, swimming and ate a lot of food. It was fun. I am blessed. :)

Once I was young, and now I am old. Yet I have never seen the godly abandoned or their children begging for bread. The godly always give generous loans to others, and their children are a blessing. Psalm 37:25-26 (New Living Translation

Family Visit

6 Months

Well, Trey is now 6 months...the days are long but the months go by fast. It was probably the most tiring 6 months of my life, but worth it of course. Trey is finally turing the corner...sleeping through the night (unbelievable)...he's been rolling over on his stomach for a month now. It is funny to watch him as he gets ready to go to sleep...he tries so hard to turn as he swings himself over and over until he finally gets in his stomach.

He laughs all the time. He thinks it's funny whenever I smile at him or yell crazy things. Trey has the biggest, bluest eyes and that is the first thing everyone says when they see him. Then he will smile at them and they comment on his dimples. His smile is different than any other smile I've seen. It's precious. Just this past week I have finally been able to have a sigh of relief as he is more self sufficient and eating solid foods. One of the first foods he ate was a huge plate of mash potatoes at Chili's. HA! Everytime I feed him he gobbles up the food like he has never eaten and he is still in the 30% for weight.

Trey comes to my Bootcamp classes in the morning because we have swim lessons right after. In class he will sit there and not make a peep for the entire hour. That is amazing for a little baby like this. Then he makes it through swim lessons (I call it "swim team") Everyone laughs. He LOVES the water...he kicks his little feet and will reach for the ball. He is the youngest by at least a year but never cries and is very good the whole time.

I know everyone thinks their children are very special and I am no different. I just love to watch everyone interact with Trey. He goes every where with me. He is so adapted to being on the go! I finally feel NORMAL as a mom. I was made to be a mom...I had no doubt I would definitely have children one day. I could have 50 of them...but I got started a little late in life. Rich was hunting this past weekend and so I took Trey to Sunday School and then to a church service to watch Stephen McGee (Cowboy quarterback)speak about being a Christian. Trey sat through it all. Well, he bounced through it all. He can jump on your legs for hours!!! And he did. That's why his legs are so skinny.

We are creating quite a bond. I can tell he feels safe with me. But I like the fact that he will still go to anyone that wants to hold him as well. This baby is awesome. He really is.

I will try everyday to keep him on the path of the Lord.
